2012 SUN SAFETY CAMPAIGN
It was a dark and rainy morning on Monday, January 9th...regardless, in the front of Marvin Elementary was an enthusiastic group of big-sunglass-wearing, hat-sporting, sign-waving volunteers promoting the 2012 SUN SAFE CAMPAIGN kick off!
The campaign started with a logo design contest for students. Additional information is available by clicking here: "Sun Safe Flyer."
The Sun Safe Committee is a new PTO group of parents and teachers working to teach and promote sun safe behaviors within our community. The committee has events planned throughout 2012 and will apply for grant money to purchase shade-creating equipment for the playground. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Ellen Smith.
